Bel-Air Country Club completes the George C. Thomas trifecta alongside Los Angeles Country Club (North) and Riviera. Nestled among the mansion-studded canyons of Los Angeles, Bel-Air is a charming throwback to classic design, with its unique topography requiring unconventional features like a tunnel, an elevator, and the city’s most iconic suspension bridge. Spanning a gulch on the par-3 10th, the bridge doubles as a striking backdrop for the 18th green.
Over the years, the course saw alterations by architects such as Dick Wilson, George Fazio, and Tom Fazio. However, in 2018, Tom Doak meticulously restored Thomas’s original vision, removing artificial water hazards and reintroducing his signature bold bunkering. Set amidst the Hollywood Hills, a round at Bel-Air isn’t just golf—it’s a rendezvous with timeless elegance.
