Nestled in a serene valley near Mount Tamalpais, Meadow Club holds the distinction of being Alister MacKenzie’s first design in the United States, opening in 1927. Over time, the course’s original links-style layout was altered as trees were added and greens shrank. A restoration in the early 2000s, led by architect Mike DeVries, brought back much of MacKenzie’s vision. DeVries expanded the greens to their original sizes and restored the bunkers to reflect MacKenzie’s bold style. Today, Meadow Club once again plays as a sprawling, undulating masterpiece, seamlessly blending classic design with breathtaking natural surroundings.
